Man in fake hair and mustache robs Pompano sandwich shop

The sandwich-shop robber was no Super Freak, but he looked like a bad impersonation of Rick James, complete with fake hair and mustache, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.
The man robbed a Pompano Beach Subway shop on Monday, according to BSO.
He entered the store at 1408 S. Pompano Parkway, just before 10 p.m. on March 22, BSO said.
The employee behind the counter told BSO investigators he knew somet
ing was odd when he saw the robber's clearly phony facial hair and wig, according to BSO.
The employee's suspicions were confirmed when the costumed crook reached into a shoulder bag, pulled

out
a chrome revolver, and told the employee to fill the bag wit
h money from the register, BSO said.
While the employee behind the counter was complying with the robber's demands, a second worker came up to see what was happening and, he, too became a victim of the wig-wearing gunman, according to BSO.
The robber took off with about $200 in cash, according to BSO. No one was hurt.
