High School Football Player Arraigned On Murder Charge
Teen Could Get 15 Years To Life If Convicted

UPDATED: 12:24 PM EDT May 26, 2004

CLEVELAND -- A local high school football player faced a judge in connection with the murder of his teammate, 16-year-old Lorenzo Hunter.

John Huddleston, 18, was arraigned Wednesday in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court.

He was charged with murder and two counts of aggravated ro
bery. Bond was set at $100,000.

A grand jury indicted Huddleston, along with his Benedictine teammate Raymond Williams.

Police said Hunter was fatally shot when he and his two friends
r
had
a fake gun and tried to rob a man.

Prosecutor Bill Mason said Williams and Huddleston face murder charges because
the law holds them responsible.

The teens could get 15 years to life in prison if convicted.
