Father Charged with Assaulting 4-Month-Old
(Columbia) - A Richland County father has been arrested in connection with an assault on his four-month old child.
Michael Giddens, 22, is charged with unlawful conduct toward a child.
Richland County investigators say Giddens was watching the boy on Saturday while the mother was at work. Investigators accuse Giddens of spanking and dropping the child; causing bodily injury.
The baby's mother took him to the hospital on Sunday after noticing bruises.
Giddens was arrested Sunday night.
