Skinheads on the March
Parade bodes ill for Bush
Martyrs honored
Patriots-in-Action
Skinhead-strength
In a powerful showing of strength, Skinheads are on the march in Chile. Staging the Skinheads for Patriotism parade around the National Capitol at Santiago, Skinheads honored their martyrs on September 5, 2004, the sixty-sixth anniversary of the massacre of Chilean patriots by the Communist-dominated government on the same date in 1938. On the very spot where the Skinheads paraded, Jorge GonzÃÆ’ ÔÅ¡¡lez von Marees had led an unsuccessful coup to oust the Reds. His followers, who were killed in the plaza of La Moneda, the seat of government, were redeemed, finally, not only by the Skinheads, but by the seizure of power in 1973 by Augusto Pinochet, who ousted t
he Communist Salvador Allende as President in a blo
ody coup. Alonzo Quixada, a leader of the demonstration, pronounced the event to be "a great greeting" to Skinheads throughout North America and Europe, in honor of his fallen comrades. He, also, invited American Skinheads to journey to Chile to participate in future Skinhead rallies and activities.
