TEXARKANA, TX (KSLA) - A 25-year-old Texas boon has become Texarkana, Texas' 11th homicide victim of 2009.
Just before 9 pm Wednesday night, police got a call about a groid at St. Michael's Hospital with numerous gunshot wounds.
An investigation led officers to an abandoned building in the 1700 block of Apple Street, where police think the shooting happened.
The victim, Rickey Lee Dorsey from New Boston, died about 4 am Thursday morning.
So far, police say they have no suspects and no motive for the crime.
State police are looking for a 26-year old man from Laurel who is accused of repeatedly calling and stalking his ex-girlfriend and violating a protection from abuse order. Anyone who knows where Jamar Gamble of Sunset Drive is should call State Police Troop 5 or 9-1-1. He has previously been seen driving a red four door Cadillac. Gamble is 5’6, average build medium complexion, dreadlocks, who is known to frequent Laurel, Delaware, and Cambridge, Maryland.
A West Side boon was charged with attempted murder today in the shooting of his girlfriend this weekend, police said.
The 21-year woman was critically wounded after being shot in the chest at the home of Clinton Watkins, 23, in the 500 block of North Lawler Avenue in the Austin neighborhood, about 9:45 a.m. Saturday, police said.
Watkins was charged today with attempted murder and aggravated domestic battery charges, police said.
Austin District officers responded to a call of a person shot about 9:45 a.m. in the 500 block of North Lawler Avenue and found the 21-year-old woman shot in the torso, said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Michael Fitzpatrick.

Police say 20-year-old Shafthianos Hudson, Jr. was taken into custody Wednesday and charged Thursday.
