A Pembroke Pines Dominoes pizza shop employee was shot early Thursday during an apparent robbery at the restaurant, according to police.

Chris Jacoby, 18, was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, police said. His condition was not readily available.

A Pembroke Pines Police Department spokesperson said Jacoby was alone at the shop, located at 1401 N. Palm Av., when he was held up at gunpoint around 12:43 a.m.

'&
39;It does not appear that he tried to resist the robbery or anything,'' police spokesman David Golt said.

It is not clear how much money the robber took, nor the particular circumstances tha

t l
d to the shooting.

''Detectives have not been abl
e to talk to the victim as much as they would want to because of his medical condition,'' Golt explained.

Police would not say in what part of the body Jacoby was shot.

The robber, described in an official police report as a black male who is about six feet tall and 160 pounds, was wearing black clothing.
