Apples and Oranges ' The Oldest Tool of Deceit
By Paul Ricci

One of the age old tools used to deceive somebody is by employing a comparison of Apples to Oranges and suggesting they are in fact the same. More often than not, the real differences in the comparison are overwhelmed by the suggestion of similarity.

Over the past few weeks, there has been a well-funded blitz by proponents of off-shoring to try and convince us that the off-shoring of our jobs is somehow good for America, even though it will cause pain the short run. [Read the

Sacrificing a nation - The opportunity cost of America's Transnationals -

Colorado State-wide Ballot Proposal #139 - Protection of American Workers is a very simple amendment to the Colorado constitution that forces the companies that perform state contracts to only use American citizens and Greencard holders for the work they perform related to those state contracts. This state-level legislation is a state-wide ballot initiative that puts American worker replacement programs in the hands of the voters! Right where it belongs! HAC needs volunteers to gather signatures, and donatio
ns to counter opponent advertising. [Read more]

The
Lost Ideals of a Nation<
br>
Rhetoric versus Reality - Background
History has a number of ex
amples of how the arrogance of a few can destroy the very foundations of a nation. In 415 BC Alcibiades convinced the Athenian Assembly to join the city state of Segasta to defeat the Spartan ally Selinus on the island of Sicily. From the exterior it seemed an easy victory and good opportunity for Athens to check strategically the power of Sparta. By 411 BC, just a mere four years later, Athens was defeated and its democracy was overthrown. Perhaps the Dark Ages began when Athens, with its sophists and scientific philosophers was defeated, or was it when Nero dissolved Roman Law when he put all the Roman citizens in the Coliseum of Alexandria to death ' for merely asking that their grievances be given to the ear
of the Emperor? Perhaps we should believe the history books, that the dark ages began when the Roman Empire fell. However, this doesn't fit as nicely as one wo
uld hope given t
he whole of Grec
o-Roman history. Thus, history
is often unclear when turning points actually occur

I
mmigration Now Impacting College-Educated Employment And Incomes - http://www.vdare.com/rubenstein/employment_impact.htm - By Edwin S. Rubenstein - Why is this recovery different from all others? Answer: not only is it jobless, but college-educated workers are bearing a disproportionate share of the brunt.

Outsourcing - the worst of Crony Capitalism - http://batr.org/gulag/032604.html - SARTRE - Increases in productivity produce affluence, but distributing enhanced profits is seldom shared proportionately. As a principle of private property, ye who owns the gold, makes the rules.

Can you figure out U.S. Guest Labour Laws?

Who will lose more of the spic vote, Bush or Kerry, if these idiot laws are trashed?

Temporary Alien Labor to Meet Temporary Needs (H-2's)

http://www.shusterman.com/h2a-vsa.html

H-2 has a cap of 66,000 visas.
H-2a is unlimited, and would have something to do with agriculture.
H-2b is unlimited, and would not have something to do with agriculture.
Dependants (children, same-sex partners?) of H-2b are called H-4, it is not nece
sary to identify H-4's
by name.
