Man May Be Connected To 3 Sex Assaults

AURORA, Colo. -- Investigators in Aurora are hoping to find a man who may have assaulted at least three women in store parking lots.

See Surveillance Video Just Before Assault

The first assault happened in July, when the man approached a woman at a grocery story at Mississippi and Havana. There were two more incidents in November -- one at the Buckingham Square Mall near Mississippi and Florida, and the other in the parking lot at the Aurora Mall.

Police on Friday released surveillance video from the location of one of the attacks. In the video, a man is seen walking into a store and then following a victim out. Detecti

ves say there are similarities between the three cases but there are also differences. In all three cases, the
man approached the victims in the parking lot.

Aurora police are looking for this man in connection with a number of sexual assault incidents.

"The victims are usually in or about to enter into their personal vehicles," said Aurora police Detective Larry Martinez.

The man casually asks for a cigarette and then uses a handgun or a box cutter to force his way into the victim's car. (if a nigger ever approaches you for ANY reason, declare red alert and be prepared to defend your life!!)

"He forces them to drive from the location where they had met and then sexually assaults them ... This individual should be considered pretty dangerous," Martinez said.

Afterward, the man simply walks away.

"It bothers me a lot because I live around here," said Christina Hall.

H
all,
who was approached by a 7NEWS reporter in a store parking lot while she was listening to her CD player, said she would stop listening to music while walking, since that distraction p
uts her at a greater risk for being attacked.

"I don't want to be a victim. I really don't," Hall said.

Police are looking for the man pictured in the surveillance video and are asking for the public's help. He is described as a black man, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, weighing between 160 to 200 pounds. He has stained teeth, the victims said.

Police also have a few tips for women to protect themselves. When you're in a parking lot late at night, police say make sure you're aware of your surroundings. Don't get distracted by your cell phone or fumble around for your keys. If someone approaches you, look him straight in the eye. If he tries something, let everyone know it. Scream, honk your horn, or do anything to attract attention but don't get in a car with hi
m and ne
ver let someone take you away from the scene.

Hey, pull out a handgun and triple tap the nigger in the chest. You may like the results!!!! Cocked and locked for violent primates should be the man
tra of all whites that live in our age of celebrating diversity!

7NEWS Viewer Tip Leads To Suspected Rapist's Arrest
Carl Moore Held Without Bond In 2004 Kidnapping, Assault

AURORA, Colo. -- A 7NEWS viewer is credited for giving police the tip that led to the arrest of a sex assault suspect.

The TV station, and TheDenverChannel.com, aired surveillance video and photographs released by Aurora police late last month, along with a composite sketch of the suspect.

Carl Everett Moore is no-more

A composite photograph of a sex assault suspect is shown next to Carl Moore's booking photo.

The suspect was wanted in a July 2004 assault in the 1100 block of South Havana, where a b

lack male forced his way into the car of a female grocery shopper, police said.

According to the victim, the man
drove her a short distance from the store parking lot where he sexually assaulted her. The man was caught earlier on surveillance video entering the grocery store and that was the tape that was aired on 7NEWS and the Web site.

A viewer called Aurora police earlier this month with information about a possible suspect and provided additional information that led police to Carl Everett Moore, 41.

Police questioned Moore and obtained DNA samples that were submitted to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation for analysis. Police said the CBI found a positive match between Moore and the DNA of the grocery shopper's attacker.

Moore was arrested Tuesday by Aurora police and booked into the Arapahoe County Detention Center. He is being held without bond on charges of kidnapping and sexual assault.

DNA links 6 area rapes

Six rapes in the Denver area have been linked by DNA evidence, and the same person could be responsible for more assaults, authorities said Friday.

Three rapes were in Denver, two in Aurora and one in Arapahoe County, Denver Police Chief Gerry Whitman said. Detectives are investigating other assaults that may be connected to the same attacker, said Whitman, who declined to give a number or say specifically why they were similar.

Investigators are asking for the public's help in identifying the serial rapist, who they say uses a knife and physical force to attack women.

He may be driving an older blue compact c

ar and has used a knife in at least two assaults.

"Somebody out there knows this guy," W
hitman said Friday, urging people to call police if someone recognizes the composite sketch, no matter how they may know the man.

While the DNA evidence helped investigators realize they had the same rapist, it did not identify him, Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey said. That may be because he has not been incarcerated before or was in prison before 2001, when Colorado began DNA registration of incoming prison inmates.

Five incidents occurred between Nov. 10 and Jan. 11, Whitman said.

Six months later, an assault took place July 8.

In the first assault at 5:15 p.m. on Nov. 10, a man confronted a 16-year-old girl at her car in the parking lot of the Buckingham Square Mall in Aurora before taking her a short distance away and raping her, Aurora interim Police Chief Terry Jones said.

Six days later, at 7:30 p.m. outside the Aurora Mall, the
man
forced a 24-year-old woman into her car, took her a short distance and raped her, Jones said.

DNA analysis from th
e Colorado Bureau of Investigation linked the first two assaults, and the composite sketch was made, Jones said.

County Sheriff Grayson Robinson said the assault in Arapahoe County happened Jan. 11 at 7:15 p.m. in the 9100 block of East Florida Avenue. A man forced his way into a woman's home and assaulted her.

Robinson said the rapist is considered dangerous and outlined safety precautions, such as staying aware of one's surroundings and being escorted to and from a car.

"There's safety in numbers," Robinson said. "Having a cellphone available creates another layer of safety."

If confronted by someone, Robinson said, make a lot of noise and try to get to a public place and attract attention.

While investigators continue to search for a suspect, Morrissey is r
eady to
face him in court. On March 14, Morrissey filed charges against "John Doe" in two cases. The charges include kidnapping, sexual assault, burglary and aggravated robbery.

He filed the charges against "
John Doe" so that once a suspect is in custody, the cases will already be pending in court.

The process marks only the second time in Denver that charges have been filed against a suspect who has not been named.

In January,Morrissey filed charges against a man linked to burglary and indecent-exposure cases through DNA.
