FATHER MURDERED AFTER BEING SHOT IN CHEST​

Arthur Mikulski was killed in a south Charlotte homicide after Thanksgiving


42-year-old Arthur Mikulski was murdered on November 26, 2022 on Skipwith Place Charlotte, NC.

Arthur was shot around 10 p.m. in the chest during a fight in a driveway. Paramedics were called and Arthur died at the scene.

Arthur was a father with adult children. No arrests have been made

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A suspect is facing multiple charges in connection with a deadly shooting in southwest Charlotte last weekend.

Jaylan Noah Davis, 25, is charged with murder, two counts of shooting into an occupied property and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in the killing of Arthur Mikulski, who was found shot to death along Skipwith Place near South Tryon Street in southwest Charlotte on Nov. 26.


Investigators have not said if Davis and Mikulski knew each other. No other information about the shooting has been released by Charlotte-Mecklenburg police.

Any person with information about this shooting or any other incident is asked to call 704-432-TIPS to speak with CMPD homicide detectives. Witnesses may also call Charlotte Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600. All calls are anonymous.

A murder suspect who was mistakenly released from a Charlotte, North Carolina, jail has turned himself back in, police said.

Jaylan Noah Davis, who is accused of shooting and killing Arthur Mikulski in November of 2022 and was being held without bond according to CBS News affiliate WBTV, was wrongfully released from the Mecklenburg County Detention Center on Thursday due to an incorrect court order.

Police said the incorrect order indicated that Davis' charges, which include murder and other violent felonies according to WBTV, had been dismissed.


It's not clear how the error was made.

Mecklenburg County Sheriff Garry McFadden said in a statement shared on Twitter that Davis had turned himself back in to the detention center early Saturday morning.
"I am grateful that it appears no one was harmed as a result of this mishap, though I am sure it was an emotional rollercoaster for the families involved. Our criminal justice system will never be flawless, but we will learn from this experience and improve our processes accordingly," McFadden said.

He is once again being held without bond, WBTV reported. His next court appearance is scheduled for April 17.
