Triple Shooting Suspect Arrested

Metro Nashville Police arrested 15 year-old Lavender Howse early Monday morning. He was accused of killing one man, critically injuring a child and shooting a woman who was walkiing her dog, all during a Sunday crime spree.

Police said on Sunday evening, Howse stole a maroon Honda from a gas station at the corner of Douglas Avenue and Ellington Parkway.

They said the teen then drove the car to the Shoe Carnival on Gallatin Road in the Rivergate area, where he attempted to steal a pair of tennis shoes.

Police said Howse then drove to the Rivergate Mall and approached a man in the parking lot and demanded money from him.

The victim, who had his son with him, said he pulled a gun to defend himself when Howse tried to carjack him.

Police said Howse then shot the victim's 9 year-old son in the face. The child was still in the intensive care unit at Vanderbilt Medical Center Monday morning.

Police said the teen left the mall and drove to east Nashville, where he shot a woman as she was walking her dog. She was recovering Monday morning.

Police officers searched for Howse throughout the night and eventually spotted him at the Berkshire Apartments in east Nashville around 2:00 Monday morning.

He was arrested and taken to the Juvenile Justice Center in downtown Nas
hvi
lle, where he faces several charges including homicide, attempted homicide and aggravated robbery.

I'm sure this TNB negro had no "intention" of shooting the security guard six times to kill him. I'm sure his intention was only to "scare" his victims.

Nor was he "aware" that the gun he carried and used for the crime constituted "lethal force."

I'm sure our courts will deem him too young to actually be charged with murder and actually pay the price for his crimes(as our SUPREME court has recently demonstrated)...and just stick this negro trash in jail for 10 years...only to have him come out and commit the same crime again.

All other things considered however...shooting a 9 year old kid in the face...now that really does it. This little sh*t deserves to fry....and his dad deserves to be the one to flip the switch.

I wonder why the father did not shoot and kill this evil dark-skinned hellhound. The proper mindset is critical when carrying a handgun for self defense. You don't just pull it out but you must be

ready to shoot multiple times to kill your enemy or he will kill you or shoot your son. This story might have had a happy ending if the evil nigger had met a shooter. Oh well, perhaps the gun did save the life of the father but at what price? Cocked and locked for evil niggers like this POS!!

Triple Shooting Suspect Once In DCS Custody

New developments Monday in the case against a 15 year old accused of a bizarre crime spree that resulted in killing one man, critically injuring a child and shooting a woman who was walkiing her dog, all during a Sunday crime spree.



Department of Childrens Services officials now say 15 year old Lavender Howse was once in their custody, 2 years ago.



Howse was put in DCS custody for having a gun and committing aggravated robbery.



He was released in January after completing a DCS program. He&#39

;s now accused of much more serious crimes including murder.

He was arrested and taken to the Juvenile Justice Center in downtown Nashville, where he faces several charges including homicide, attempted homicide and aggravated robbery.


Howse probably won't face a judge until Wednesday. What judge, remains a question. Ironically two of the victim's relatives worked at the Juvenile Justice Center, so due to a conflict of interest, authorities are looking for another judge.



The 9-year-old boy, Jacob Holmes and the woman, Yvonne O'Connor, are both recovering from their wounds at the hospital. Metro Police say their injuries are not life-threatening.

Fifteen-year-old Lavender Howse, who went on a crime and shooting spree Sunday afternoon and evening, is confined at the Juvenile Detention Center after being arrested at 2 a.m. by SWAT, Specialized Investigations Division and East Precinct officers outside Berkshire Place Apartments on Porter Road. Acting on a tip, officers were conducting surveillance at the apartment complex when they saw Howse walk up to a door and knock. He was refused entry and, as he walked away, was taken into custody. Howse was carrying a pistol in his pants pocket, but offered no resistance.

1126 McFerrin Avenue, admitted to the crime spree in detail and is charged at Juvenile Court with crim
inal homicide, attempted criminal homicide, aggravated robbery, carjacking, attempted especially aggravated robbery and aggravated assault.

Detectives have learned that Howse's mother discovered he was hanging out on Porter Road Sunday and brought him home. She saw that he was carrying a gun, took it from him and placed it in a bathroom of the house. During an argument with his mother and her boyfriend at approximately 4:15 p.m., Howse retrieved the gun, fired shots inside the residence and fled. He walked to the Shell market at 766 Douglas Avenue and robbed the store of cash. He then walked into the parking lot and carjacked Zarale Denley, 28, of her 1993 Honda.

Howse drove the Honda to the Rivergate area where he threatened another motorist with the pistol while in traffic. He then claims to have gone to a nearby sporting goods store where he stole bullets for his .380

From the sporting goods store, Howse went to Shoe Carnival at 2166 North
Gallatin Pike. Howse put on a pair of new tennis shoes inside the store and walked out. He was confronted in the parking lot by Shoe Carnival employee Christopher Davis, 28, of Antioch. After a brief conversation, the two walked back toward the store. When they reached the front door, at approximately 5:10 p.m., Howse pulled the pistol and fired several shots at Davis. Davis fell at the front door and was dead on arrival at Skyline Medical Center.

From Shoe Carnival, Howse drove the Honda to the parking lot of Hecht's department store at Rivergate Mall. He saw a family of four returning to their Pontiac, drove up to them and, at gunpoint, demanded the keys to their vehicle. The family ran for cover and Howse opened fire on them, striking Jacob Holmes, 9, in the face (the bullet entered at his nose and exited near his ear). J

father, Roger Holmes, 30, of Mt. Juliet, retrieved his gun from the car and returned fire (Holmes has a handgun carry permit).[/color
] Howse's actions on the mall property are being investigated by the Goodlettsville Police Department.

From Rivergate Mall, Howse drove the Honda to the Inglewood area. Yyvonne O'Connor, 56, of Horseshoe Drive, was walking her dog on Oak Street when she heard a speeding car approach. O'Connor stepped to the edge of the roadway. Howse pulled up to her and told her to get her dog out of the street. O'Connor began to walk away. Howse fired several shots at her, striking her in the pelvic area.

From Oak Street, Howse drove to a church on Brick Church Pike near Briley Parkway where he abandoned the Honda.

The wounds to Jacob Holmes and Yyvonne O'Connor are not life- threatening. Both are recovering at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Nashville Teen May Be Tried As An Adult

It appears a Nashville teenager will be tried as an adult.

Lavender Howse is accused of a shooting spree that took the life of a security guard on June 20th.

Howse waived his right to a transfer hearing. His case now goes to the Grand Jury, and in court on Friday, the judge told the 15 year-old it is highly likely he will end up being tried as an adult in Criminal Court.

Among other things, police say Howse stole a pair of shoes at a Shoe Carnival store and shot and killed the security guard who asked him about it.
