Dallas man charged in sexual assault

UTD police have charged a 21-year-old Dallas man with the Oct. 20 aggravated sexual assault and aggravated robbery in a Founders Building lab after he confessed to police Feb. 4.
Kaytron Barnard Banks, 10951 Stone Canyon Road, was initially arrested Jan. 25 by UTD police shortly after stealing a purse from a female student in a third-floor women's restroom in Jonsson Building.
"Our investigation led us to look at him more closely, which ultimately ended up in obtaining a confession (in multiple incidents)," said UTD Police Detective Steve Finney.
After several interviews by UTD police
nduring the 10 days following his arrest, Banks reportedly confessed to the aggravated sexual assault and
robbery Feb. 4. He also confessed to more than a dozen other thefts on campus between August 2004 and January 2005, Finney said.
