Havelock police are looking for a man arrested for domestic violence who escaped from the hospital Wednesday night.
Dayshaun Fuquan Berry, 26, complained of shortness of breath after his arrest and was taken to Craven Regional Medical Center, the city of Havelock said in a Thursday release. While unattended, Berry left the hospital and his whereabouts are now unknown.
Police arrested Berry when officers responded to a domestic disturbance call at a Shipman Road home. Berry had run from the home, but was caught after a short chase.
Berry is wanted on outstanding warrants for domestic violence, trespassing and failure to appear in court, according to the city release. His name has been entered into the National Crime Information Center, an online criminal records database for law enforcement, as a wanted suspect.
Berry is a black man who stands five feet, six inches tall, according to the release.
