Suspects Charged In Washington County Dog Mistreatment Cases

Washington County, GA—The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is making sure the 52 dogs allegedly mistreated by Billy Taylor, Jr. will get their day in court.

Officials have charged 52-year-old Billy Taylor, Jr. with possession of a gun by a felon, felony aggravated cruelty to animals, and 27 counts of no rabies shots.

Taylor was the caretaker of property in Washington County, GA near Sandersville where 52 dogs were found…27 of the dogs were dead and 25 have been placed in the custody of the ASPCA.

In a separate case involving alleged animal abuse of twelve dogs, both Jimmy Johnson and Roger Williams are facing charges of cruelty to animals, felony dog fighting, obstruction of a police officer and no rabies shots.
