Wanted Bay area man arrested
One of Florida's most wanted is behind bars in Pinellas County.
Deputy U.S. Marshals arrested Derrick Spann Friday night.
They caught up with him while he was using a pay phone in St. Petersburg.
In 1991, Spann was arrested and charged with dealing cocaine and sentenced to more than 12 years in prison.
His sentence was followed by a five-year probation, but authorities said he vi
lated his release by getting involved in the heroin market.
There is no word on what new charges he will face.
