PLANS by Nazi pop stars the Gaede twins to tour Australia have outraged family and Jewish groups.

Blonde Californian sisters Lynx and Lamb Gaede, 13, ' who entertain fans while performing the Hitler salute ' confirmed they had an offer from unnamed Australian promoters.

"Yes, we have many fans in Australia now like the rest of the world," Lamb Gaede told The Sunday Mail.

"Just last week we were contacted about doing some shows in Australia and we are considering it."

Premier Peter Beattie said he didn't believe the twins would attract a cr
owd in a multicultural state such as Queensland.

Nor did Gold Coast Rabbi Uri Themal, a Holocaust survivor, who said the Jewish community would be outraged if the twins were allowed to perform here.

"The Jewish community, which suffered more than any other community under Nazi persecution, would not welcome any expression by anyone of Nazi ideology or their messages," h
e said

"I
t&#3
9;s particularly offensive if that comes in the form of children who were obviously raised in that ideology and come here with the full intention of not just performing that message but turning that horrendous human crime into show business."

The Family Council of Queensland president Alan Baker agreed.

"While their offensive views are to be deplored, the fault lies not with them so much as with their parents who have perverted them with racist ideology and exploited them for commercial gain," he said.

Paul Gardner of the Jewish B'nai B'rith Anti-Discrimination Commission said the ideology of the
duo would be "unwelcome in Australia . . . these two show you can be young, good looking and still be a racist".

The sisters, whose group is known as Prussian Blue, often play at rallies in the US for the Ku Klux Klan. On stage they wear white T-shirts with huge smiley yellow faces that sport Hitler moustaches.

Their songs feature antise
mitic an
d racist lyrics.

The twins' website has links to various right-wing groups around the world.

Lamb Gaede said the website was visited by "lots of Australians sending us messages of support".

A spokesman for Immigration Minister Amanda Vanstone said the sisters' visa application would be subject to a character test.

The application could be rejected "if there is a significant risk the person will engage in conduct that will vilify a segment of the community".
