Puppy's owner arrested for animal abuse

EAST TAMPA - A Tampa man is behind bars in what police say is a case of animal torture.

Jamil Gilmore was arrested after a tip led authorities to a home at the corner of Clifton street and North 37th street.

Greg Hattle of the Tampa Police Department says he was horrified by what
he describes as one of the worst cases of animal abuse he has seen.

The dog's collar was so tight, it was embedded into his neck.

He also rubbed his skin raw trying for relief from the horrible flea infestation.

Lashawnta Melton, the suspect's wife, says she is the one that called animal control, and it was not an anonymous tip.

She says she's upset because her call led to her husband's arrest.

Animal Control says they believe they can save the dog, and then next step is to get him healthy and (get him out of a nigger neighborhood) find him a good home.

This feral apeman should be wrapped up in barbwire and thrown off a cliff. Although this story is merely another instance of animal on animal violence, which is only natural, it is a shame that these species of violent primates were unleashed into our ecosystem.
