ARDMORE, Pa. -- A Main Line chiropractor is under arrest and accused of molesting a patient.

Dr. Mark Rosenberg, a chiropractor and masseur, has been giving massages at Main Line Body Mechanics for three years. Now, he is accused of indecently assaulting a 25-year-old patient last week.

He was released from jail Wednesday on $25,000 bail, posted by his wi
e.

"In a massage therapy session, he has the client remove their clothes. They're normally covered by a towel or sheet. In this case, the victim was covered by a sheet. However, he removed
the
sheet, moved it around various times and touched her in places that a normal
(masseur) would not touch an individual," said Sgt. John Stillwagon, of the Lower Merion Police Department.

Stillwagon said the doctor was treating the alleged victim for a shoulder injury. She had been to him four other times with no complaints. She said last week's session happened after regular business hours. She had no appointment, police said.

"The doctor called the client in for a massage. She did get up and attempt to leave and when she tried to leave the office found that the door was locked. He took his time in unlocking the door and she eventually was able to get out and contacted friends as well as us immediately," Stillwagon explained.

Some of the patients at Main Line Bod
y Mechanics couldn't believe the charges.

"He is a great guy. (He) really helped me with recovering from a brain tumor with the chiropractor and massage therapy," said Jennifer Gree
nblat, a pa
tient.

Nobody answered the door at Rosenberg's home and nobody at the office or his attorney would answer q
uestions from NBC 10 News.

Police served a search warrant at the doctor's office and confiscated computers. Investigators said they suspect there may be other victims because they have received a number of calls. Anyone who thinks he or she has been victimized should call Lower Merion police.
