Police: Troy woman charged, puppies left out in cold died

A Troy woman is facing animal cruelty charges after she left two puppies out on a cold porch to die, according to police.

Investigators said Lashema Greene tied the dogs up at night late last week and fell asleep.

Greene told police when she woke up four hours later she found the dogs.

Officials also say the dogs looked emaciated.

Greene could face further charges after test are completed on the carcasses.
