Man charged with burglarizing tented home
Police, responding to a call about a suspicious vehicle, arrested a man believed to be burglarizing a tented home.
Officers found George Wallace on West Granada Street late Tuesday night, three houses down from a home which was being fumigated. Wallace was in a black Jeep with its lights off. Police said he tried to run from them and gave inconsistent statements about why he was in the area.
Investigators reported finding several black knit hoodies, gloves and a work order for the house, which was being fumigated, inside the Jeep.
When they checked the tented house, they found a garbage can inside the carport area filled with goods from the home. Wallace was charged with Loitering and Prowling. There
is no evidence he worked for the fumigation company, police said.

Tampa Police have arrested a second suspect in connection with recent carjackings in the Westshore area.
A tip led the U.S. Marshal's Fugitive Task to 736 13th Avenue South in St. Petersburg, where Amos Daymone Wallace was hiding in a back bedroom.
He was arrested without incident.
Detectives identified Wallace through a fingerprint on a vehicle stolen during a carjacking in late April.
One of
the victims, Jessica Pensula, recognized Wallace as the man who stole her car and pushed her out of the moving vehicle in a mall parking lot.
Another victim, Jesse Blackstock, also recognized Wallace as the suspect who attempted to carjack his family car in April.
Detectives obtained a warrant for Wallace's arrest and then contacted the U.S. Marshal's Fugitive Task Force and the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office to assist in the arrest.
Wallace is the second suspect arrested for taking part in two carjackings and four attempted carjackings in the Westshore area over the last two weeks.
