GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. -- Gwinnett County Police said a 3-month-old pit bull puppy was shot during a dispute between neighbors.
According to a police report, Thommyron Favors, 30, and Curtis Bryant, 26, were arguing at Favors’ residence on Singleton Road in Norcross on March 17. The police report said during the dispute Bryant pointed his gun at Favors’ puppy and fired a shot at the animal.
Police said the bullet struck the puppy in the right front paw. The dog is now recovering at Favors' home.
Gwinnett County Police arrested Bryant on charges of aggravated cruelty to animals, a felony, and discharging a firearm within 50 yards of a public roadway, a misdemeanor.
Bryant is at the Gwinnett County Jail without bond, pending a probable cause hearing scheduled March 30.
