Police Arrest Women for Abusing Dogs

Animal Control officers arrested the woman they say neglected her two dogs and left them for dead. Domonique Williams turned herself in yesterday evening.

Police charged her with misdemeanor animal cruelty, saying her neglect killed one dog. Another dog was barely alive when officers found it.

Investigators are now looking for her ex-boyfriend, who they say actually owned the dogs. They want to question him about the abuse. They say Scott and Williams, now his ex-girlfriend, lived together in a home on East 33rd Street until a couple of weeks ago.

"She wanted to take them to the humane society and drop them of
f," said Scherherazade Robinson, a friend of Williams.

Robinson was at the home when Animal Control took the dogs. "They were his and when he left he left her with the dogs all the financial responsibilities fell on her, and she was surviving the best way she could," she said.

Robinson says her friend could barely feed herself and keep the lights on, let alone take care of two dogs.

Animal Control officers found the dogs in the backyard Monday evening. They were both tied to a tree and left in the heat with no food, no water and no shelter.

The severely underweight puppy pictured here is now in the hands of Animal Control. Officers are feeding the dog several small meals a day to help her regain some weight.

The Save-A-Life animal rescue organization plans to put the dog in foster care and try to find her a new home. If you would like to adopt the neglected puppy, you can contact Save-A-Life at 598.7729 or you can go to their website at
www.savealifepets.org.

Officers say they let Domonique Williams off easy because she turned herself in and didn't own the dogs.

If you have information on where police can find Ronnie Scott, call CrimeStoppers at 234.2020.

Severe Case of Animal Abuse on Savannah's Eastside

Savannah-Chatham Animal Control officers are looking for a woman who abandoned her two dogs and left them for dead.

It's a severe case of animal cruelty. Officers found one dog dead, chained to the porch, and another dog hadn't eaten in weeks and is in pretty bad shape.

These are pictures of the puppy Animal Control officers rescued Monday evening. She only weighs ten pounds. That's 25 pounds less than what she's supposed to weigh.

Officers found her
tied to a tree in the backyard of a home at 817 E. 33rd Street. She had no food, no water, no shelter. There was another dog tied to the back of the house. Officers found it dead under the porch.

"From what I watch on TV with animal cruelty, they need to be handled just like the dogs have been handled," said a man who lives across the street. He asked not to be identified. I agree!

He says he watched Animal Control carry the dogs out of yard; he says he hasn't seen the woman who lives there in more than a week. "Just left abandoned in the house, people either moved or went out of town," he said.

Police are looking for the owner of the dogs. When they find her, they plan to charge her with animal cruelty. The neighbor said, "I hope they catch them. I don't know who they are, but I hope they catch them."

Officers say the owner's neglect killed one dog and almost killed the other. They say they found this litt
le dog just in time. She would have only lived a couple of more days in those conditions.

Once the dog gains some weight, she'll be up for adoption. Once police find the owner, she could go to jail.

If you know who the owner is or where she is, or if you're interested in adopting the dog, you can call animal control at 351.6750.

Ten reasons dogs are better than niggers.

1. You can own a dog.

2. A dog is man's best friend.

3. Dogs smell better than niggers.

4. If you feed a dog he will be your friend.

5. You can put a leash on a dog.

6. You can put a muzzle on a dog.

7. Animal control picks up stray dogs.

8. Your dog will protect you and your family.

9. You can train a dog to do tricks, poop outside etc.

10. If your dog becomes mean and violent you can take it to the vet and have it put down.

Domonique Williams

Accused Dog Abuser in Court

The woman accused of starving a dog to death and neglecting another was in court for the first time.

Domonique Williams is charged with misdemeanor animal cruelty. She was supposed to face the charge Tuesday, but since she didn't have a lawyer her case was postponed until November 14.

Animal control officers rescued one of the dogs from Williams' home last month. They found this puppy tied to a tree with no food, water or shelter. The dog now has a new home, a Savannah couple adopted "Snicker" last weekend.

I wonder what their reaction was when they went inside the house and found two escaped gorillas?

Nigger

Accused Animal Abuser in Court

The case against a woman accused of starving one dog to death and almost killing another is making it's way through the courts.

Back in August animal control officers rescued "Snicker". She was chained to a tree with no food, water or shelter.

Today a judge found enough evidence against Dominique Williams and sent it to state court. If convicted on the charges of two counts of animal neglect the judge will hand down sentence. Williams faces up to a year in jail and a thousand dollar fine. [/B
