Boy, 3, fatally shot as adults party

An Atlanta toddler died after he was shot in the head as his mother and four other adults drank alcohol and smoked marijuana, police say.
Three-year-old Terrance Douglas was shot Monday night after his mother Erica Douglas, 20, took the child to a girlfriend's East Point apartment, according to East P

Terrance died upon arrival at Grady Memorial Hospital.

ll, 32, according to interviews with others present, was "being immature" and apparently playing around with a 9 mm semiautomatic weapon when it
discharged, police said.
"We've learned enough to piece the basic story together of what happened, but the people involved are not being very cooperative," said Popham.
Marshall left immediately after the shooting and was being sought by police, who have obtained warrants for felony murder and reckless conduct. He had not been located as of late Tuesday.
Marshall served a five-year prison sentence for an armed robbery conviction in Fulton County and was released from prison eight years ago, Popham said. "As a convicted felon, the man was violating the law even having a gun," he said.

r>"I know Marshall and he needs to contact me, or turn himself in," said Detective Sgt. Charles Israel. "It will be better for him, because he will be found, sooner or later."
Marshall is
also known by the aliases of Keith Marshall and Tyrone Jackson, Israel said.
The shooting occurred about 11:15 p.m. Monday in the Regency Park apartment of Shanita Woods, 23, police said. Woods;
Erica Douglas; Staci Marshall, Stephen Marshall's sister; and Deonte Durham are in jail, charged with misdemeanor charges of reckless conduct, and occupying a disorderly place, Popham said.
A first appearance hearing will be held by Thursday afternoon in Fulton County Magistrate Court, he said.
