Roulette player who tried to torch casino in court

LIFE STYLE EXTRA (UK) - A gambler has appeared in court accused of trying to torch a casino after losing Ô�Å¡£40,000 at roulette.
Businessman Parviz Mashayekhi, 46, allegedly sprayed petrol over croupier Tara Lyons, other staff and gaming tables at the Connoisseur Club in the Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington, west London - a favourite haunt of Chelsea's Premiership stars.
Mashayekhi, of Kensington, is then said to have tried to ignite the petrol with a lighter.
But he was seized by security staff and arrested by police after the drame late on Friday night.
Dishevelled-looking Mashayekhi appeared dressed in a white sweatshirt and tracksuit bottoms before West London Magistrates

this morning charged with a single count o
f attempting to destroy a casino and endangering life.
He spoke only to confirm his name and details during the brief hearing and was remanded in custody pending his next appearance at Blackfriars Crown Court on January 9.
