DENVER -- Police in Fort Collins arrested a man they said robbed a home near the Colorado State University campus.

Police said Sunday they arrested Jovon Justin Roberts, 22, on suspicion of first-degree burglary, aggravated robbery and first-degree kidnapping.

On Saturday, officers were called to the 1600 block of South Whitcomb Street where three men in their 20s said a man had broken into their home, threatened one person with a knife and took several items including electronics, cash and a wallet.

The robber left in a 2005 silver Doge Durango, said Rita Davis of the Fort Collins Police Department.

Davis said officers found the Durango about 30 minutes after the robbery in a parking lot about a mile away. Officers arrested Roberts as he tried to get inside the Durango, Davis said.

Detectives recovered all of the items stolen during the robbery, she said.

Roberts has been booked into the Larimer County Detention Center.
