Republican Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has faced a series of conflicts of interests on key issues in his state, including with the ongoing Haitian migrant crisis affecting Springfield.

DeWine recently pledged support to Springfield to assist with the influx in Haitian migrants, according to Spectrum News. Over a period of years, DeWine and his wife have developed extensive ties to a charity in Haiti.

The charity was established in honor of Becky DeWine, their daughter who died in a car accident. The DeWine Family Foundation Inc. gave a $400,000 grant to the group “Hands Together” to fund a school in Haiti, according to the foundation’s 990 form that was filed in 2023.

Hands Together established the Becky DeWine school and dedicated it to the governor’s late daughter in 1999, according to its website. DeWine’s family held fundraisers for years on behalf of the charity in Ohio.
The governor recently expressed support for Temporary Protected Status, the program that allowed many Haitian migrants to enter the U.S.

“I want to be very clear, totally very clear, I’m not against this program,” the governor stated. “I’m not against this program.” He added that there needs to be a plan and Ohio requires assistance from the federal government.

His support for Haitian migrants has drawn criticism from some conservatives online.

DeWine and his wife, Fran, have long had ties to Haiti. For over 20 years, the two made frequent trips to the country, ABC News 5 Cleveland reported.

“During his tenure as a U.S. senator from 1995-2007, DeWine kept Haiti on his political agenda,” YS News reported in 2010. The outlet went on to say that DeWine believes the “U.S. has an interest in promoting stability” in Haiti.

This isn’t the first time DeWine has had personal interests that ran into important issues under his purview as governor.

DeWine’s office came under scrutiny last year when a Norfolk Southern train derailed in East Palestine, polluting the town with dangerous chemicals. The company donated $10,000 to Gov. Mike DeWine almost a month before the derailment, an investigation conducted by the outlet revealed.

Norfolk Southern had donated to the governor’s political funds since his first gubernatorial campaign in 2018, according to the Columbus-based outlet. The investigation revealed the company lobbied Ohio officials on various transpiration issues, including persuading officials to oppose legislation that would have created stricter rail safety regulations.
A DeWine spokesman said the campaign contributions had “no effect on his decisions,” WYSX reported.
DeWine also received thousands of dollars in donations from donors that oppose bans on transgender procedures for minors, the Daily Caller News Foundation (DCNF) previously reported. The Ohio Children’s Hospital Association (OCHA) donated $10,000 in 2018 to the Mike DeWine and Jon Husted Transition Fund and another $10,000 in 2022.

He also received donations from Nationwide Children’s Hospital, ProMedica Children’s Hospital, and Cincinnati Children’s, all organizations that support transgender sex change procedures, the DCNF reported.

Springfield, a city of roughly 60,000, has been overwhelmed with 20,000 Haitian migrants in just a few years.

“We are thankful for Governor DeWine’s thoughtful approach in thoroughly researching the issue of gender-affirming care and vetoing sub HB 68 today,” The OCHA President Nick Lashutka told the DCNF in a statement. “Gender-affirming care” is a euphemism for irreversible sex change procedures.

The governor vetoed a bill, HB 68, in 2023 that would have banned sex changes for minors and prohibited men from competing in women’s sports.

That bill is not the only issue DeWine allied with the left on – critics of the governor have also noted his past support for accepting refugees in Ohio.

DeWine previously told the Trump administration that Ohio would continue to accept refugees after the former president signed an executive order mandating State Department officials only resettle refugees in places that consented to the resettlement, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Exclusive: Feds and State AG Investigate an Alleged Human Trafficking Empire Run in Springfield, Ohio, for Years by ‘King George’

Dispatches from Springfield, Ohio – The story in this town is not about cats or dogs. It’s about mules. It’s a twin tragedy of migrant workers from Haiti exploited and locals from Springfield marginalized. Just about every week since 2019, First Diversity Staffing Group Inc. has shuttled vulnerable Haitian migrants in unmarked white Ford and Chevy vans from Florida to Ohio, where they are allegedly exploited for cheap labor by companies like Dole Food Company Inc. It is a secretive and sinister operation that has gone unchecked for more than five years. The mastermind behind this scheme lives in a $1.35 million mansion on Pawleys Plantation Court. His name is George Ten, but in that underworld, his nickname is "King George," because of his opulent lifestyle of luxury cars, cash handouts and fast-talk. For years, he has operated his reign of alleged exploitation openly and freely out of a former mansion on E. High Street.

In the limelight: Charleroi’s immigrant liaison says national attention has stressed borough’s Haitian population

Getro Bernabe, Charleroi’s immigrant liaison, said the Haitian population is feeling undue stress after former President Donald Trump’s comment.

Getro Bernabe said the Haitian population in Charleroi has been feeling undue stress since former President Donald Trump referenced the group in a recent campaign speech.
The borough’s immigrant liaison since April 2023, “They put Haitian immigrants in the spotlight,” Bernabe said Monday. “They are not the only immigrants in the country, but the focus is on the Haitian immigrants right now. That makes them feel stressed out, frustrated. That’s a lot of tension.”
Charleroi’s Haitian population gained national attention after a mention Thursday by Trump in a campaign speech Thursday in Tucson, Ariz.
“Charleroi, what a beautiful name, but it’s not so beautiful now, it has experienced a 2,000% increase in population of Haitian migrants under Kamala Harris,” Trump said. “This is a small town and all of a sudden they’ve got thousands of people. The schools are scrambling to hire translators for the influx of students who don’t speak a word of English, costing local taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars.”
A survey conducted by Bernabe in April 2023 showed Charleroi has about 2,000 immigrants from 44 countries, including China, Spain, Indonesia and African countries, along with Haiti.

Bernabe was born in Haiti, but has lived In Charleroi since 2020. As the immigrant liaison,
his duties include helping immigrants with documentation, directing and aiding them in navigating everyday life, answering questions and problem solving, and serving as a point of contact and interpreter.
He said the borough’s Haitian population rejects how they are being portrayed.
“It’s a little stressful right now,” Bernabe said. “Some feel it’s just politics. For me, it’s not fair to think about Haitians like that. It’s unfortunate. They are saying some stuff that is not really true. They need to get proof before they say what they have to say about any person.”
Dr. Edward Zelich, Charleroi Area superintendent, said financial support is in place for students who are learning English as a second language, meaning there is no additional cost to the taxpayers.
“We’ve had no discipline issues,” Zelich said of the Haitian students. “They want to learn. We offer summer school classes and they come to learn English as a second language. At Charleroi, we are committed to delivering a high quality education and an inclusive learning experience.”
Charleroi Borough Manager Joe Manning said the Haitians don’t cause any more problems than the American-born citizen.
“This is much ado about nothing,” he said. “In all of the time that I’ve been here, I’ve never had any problems with these folks.”
He said other than fielding numerous media requests since the comments were made last week, it’s been business as usual in Charleroi.
Manning said he reached out to his colleague in Springfield, Ohio, which also boasts a Haitian immigrant population. Attention has been focused on that community after Trump said during the Sept. 10 debate with Kamala Harris that Haitian immigrants in the town were abducting and eating pets, resulting in threats against the immigrant community.
“I just dropped him a line,” Manning said. “I wrote to tell him, ‘I’m following your city’s story and I can empathize with you. We have a large immigrant population in Charleroi as well and I’m sorry for all the negative publicity.’ We’ve been corresponding since then.”
Some Charleroi officials also reacted to Trump’s comment, stating the issues such as widespread job losses in the borough need to be addressed, noting Anchor Hocking recently purchased the World Kitchen plant, eliminating more than 300 jobs.
“For Charleroi to move forward, investment and resources are needed to combat the economic challenges it faces,” said Kristin Hopkins-Calcek, Charleroi Council president. “Borough officials and other key stakeholders have repeatedly submitted funding requests to both the state and federal governments to address a multitude of community concerns; however, those critical resources have not come to fruition.”
Jamie Colecchi, CEO of the Mon Valley Alliance, said it’s a time to take advantage of industrial property that can be primed for immediate redevelopment.
“We have an industrious workforce seeking gainful employment in our region,” he said. “It’s devastating that our community’s legacy as a world-renowned glassmaker is coming to an end, but we can’t give up and stop here. We are looking forward to a better future together.”
Councilman Larry Celaschi said he does not support the statement by Hopkins-Calcek and Colecchi.
“Hopkins and Colechi made a wild assumption that President Trump even knew about the Anchor Hocking plant closing,” Celaschi said. “At his rally in Arizona, he was addressing immigration at the time. He wasn’t talking (about) economic policy.”
Bernabe said he has a suggestion for his fellow Haitians in Charleroi.
“We just need to behave,” he said. “Since we legally came to the country, there’s nothing to worry about. Respect the rules of the country, respect the law, and that’s that.”

A new Springfield facility that will provide services including help with immigration status applications, legal advocacy and case management, will open this year.
Located at 448 E. High St., it will be operated by Catholic Charities of Southwest Ohio, which has been providing aid in Springfield for about a year and a half, CEO Tony Stieritz said during a Haitian Coalition meeting Wednesday. He said he is expecting to be able to begin providing services within a month.
“What’s most important to us is that we weave ourselves into the patchwork of services that are already existing and that we add value to that,” Stieritz said.
The facility will likely be called the Springfield Empowerment Center and will potentially “take the load off of” some organizations’ plates.
It will have three staff members on the ground — two case managers and one immigration legal advocate, who has already been hired.
Stieritz said the team will help connect clients to English learning classes for employment, employment training, resume preparation, application assistance and job development. He said they will also assist with asylum, visas, status, citizenship and other humanitarian immigration relief.

Members of the organization in Cincinnati will provide support for many of the immigration services.

Stieritz said he expects to help more than 100 people with immigration-related assistance, and more than 200 with case management.
“It all really depends honestly on the intensity of the services that are demanded,” he said.
Johnson Salomon, patient advocate and interpreter at Rocking Horse Community Health Center, said during the meeting that the greatest need is for immigration services. Several organizations also provide assistance related to jobs.
Stieritz said immigration legal services are “low bono,” meaning that there is a fee scale based on need. He said fees will be waived in many cases in which a client does not have the means to pay but still requires assistance.
Catholic Charities is prepared to provide legal representation for clients for immigration cases like asylum, the CEO said.
“I do think it’s important to just make sure once we start a service that we’re not duplicating what’s already taking place for the community, so I think a lot of just making sure that we fully understand the network of what is offered so that we can add value in that,” Stieritz said.

I figured out the Springfield Ohio deals, I'm sure it's same dealings elsewhere in Chicago & Alabama etc. Ohio's Rob Rue councilman owns hundreds of apartments in dozens of buildings, as does Ohio Gov'r DeWine. Then evicts the renters who were paying 700/mo. Does cheap facial renovation, then both gets gov't subsidies as do-gooders for housing migrants.
After renovations, they raised rent for migrants to 1400/mo. then migrants get rent subsidies from Gov't to pay rent. From State, Federal, or both.
The RINO Governor DeWine has >20 schools in Haiti since 2002, he arranged for 15-20K of them to come here, labor trafficking, a Staffing company shuttles the Haitians to/from the jobs, a metal mfg company, Tyson's & Bob Evans foods. Staffing agency caters ONLY to immigrants, it has CEO/MGR crazy woman who gets them the jobs, shuttles, she has $1.2 million annual income.
NOT a one of those many hundreds of jobs were ever offered to nor made open to the public. Just privately offered to the migrants.

The city's car impounding operation giving cars owned by regular citizens away to immigrants if they can't pay fees within 23 days. Not enough on that, yet, except word of mouth from citizens who lost their cars.
THE LEVEL OF CORRUPTION IN SPRINGFIELD OHIO IS STUNNING.

About 5-7 years ago, there was a youtube video (since removed) of several Jews teaching corporate businesses HR people how to hire cheap immigrant labor to circumvent EEOC illegality or penalties of not hiring American 'White' men/women.

BREAKING: Springfield, Ohio man sentenced to 20 years for hate crimes against Haitian community

Izaye Eubanks targeted and attacked at least eight Haitians in January and February 2023.

Izaye Eubanks, 22, sentenced to 20 years for hate crimes against Haitians.

Overview:

A Springfield, Ohio, man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for committing federal hate crimes against Haitians residing in the area.

A Springfield, Ohio, man was sentenced in U.S. District Court Tuesday to 20 years in prison for committing federal hate crimes targeting and attacking Haitian nationals residing in the area.
Izaye Eubanks, 22, pleaded guilty in August to both federal and local crimes. He admitted to committing hate crimes against at least eight Haitian nationals.

“This defendant is being held accountable for repeatedly assaulting and robbing members of the Haitian community in Springfield, Ohio, because of their national origin,” said Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division in a news release.

JAMAICAN, Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke

“Attacks like these, where a group of individuals is targeted for violent abuse and robbery because of who they are, will not be tolerated,” Clarke said. “The Justice Department will continue to enforce our federal criminal civil rights laws to protect all people in this country, and we will prosecute predators who commit violent, bias-motivated crimes.”

According to court documents, in January and February, Eubanks committed various assaults, robberies and a carjacking of Haitian individuals because of the victims’ actual and perceived national origin. Eubanks would travel throughout Springfield looking for individuals he believed were from Haiti and then attack the individuals, usually by punching them and knocking them to the ground before robbing them of their money, cell phones, a vehicle and/or other personal belongings.

On Jan. 29, Eubanks assaulted and robbed a victim while the victim was walking to wire $300 in cash to his mother in Haiti. Eubanks punched the victim in the back of the head and neck, causing him to briefly black out, then robbed the victim of his cash, cell phone and ATM cards. That same day, Eubanks assaulted a victim as he left a Haitian market. Eubanks grabbed the victim by his shirt, pulled him out of his vehicle and punched him in the face before stealing the victim’s vehicle.

On Feb. 1, Eubanks directed juveniles to help him complete four separate attacks on five additional victims.

“Hate and discrimination have never had a place in our society. As today’s significant prison sentence shows, they have no place today,” said U.S. Attorney Kenneth L. Parker for the Southern District of Ohio. “We will continue to prosecute hate crimes to the fullest extent of the law.”

“The hate crimes committed by Izaye Eubanks threatened and intimidated the immigrant community throughout the region,” stated Special Agent in Charge J. William Rivers of the FBI Cincinnati Field Office. “Because hate crimes have such a wide-ranging impact, investigating these crimes is a top priority for the FBI.”

The FBI Cincinnati Field Office investigated the case. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Amy M. Smith and Ryan A. Saunders for the Southern District of Ohio prosecuted the case.

What is happening down in the deep south is troubling, but it's the way residents down here are reacting to their immigrant invasion is what's really scary. We traveled through the south and talked to people in communities which have seen huge immigration spikes.

First Springfield, Then Charleroi, Now Migrant Crisis Swamps This Small Indiana Town

Renegade Editor’s Note: It’s always so annoying that LibsofTiktok pretends like her tribe isn’t the one doing this all.

(ZH) First, Springfield, Ohio, then Charleroi, Pennsylvania, and now Logansport, Indiana—these small towns share one thing in common: Each has seen a massive influx of Haitian migrants that the Secretary of Homeland Security granted Temporary Protected Status. These migrants are dumped into towns with factories, replacing blue-collar native-born workers by the thousands in what we’ve dubbed the ‘Great Job Replacement.’

Local news outlet Mercer County Outlook said the small community of Logansport, located about 78 miles north of Indianapolis, had experienced a 30% population jump since 2021, or about around the time VP Kalama Harris began her new position as ‘Border Czar.’

Population in Logansport as of the last census is just over 18,000…according to statements made the population has increased by 30% since 2021…roughly 5,400.

The influx of migrants in the small town has strained local resources, including the school system.

That is going to happen to renters in all states. The landlords can get much more rent and guaranteed monthly payments from the US Federal Government if they are leasing to illegals. Fools in inner cities who vote for Kamala deserve their new home...a tent in the park!

Did anyone else hear that at the end?
