Police looking for suspects in account take overs

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) is looking for three people they say are involved in what's called "account take overs."

The suspects managed to obtain the victims' bank account information without the victim's knowledge.

The suspects used this information to make counterfeit checks and to withdraw money from the victims' accounts.

So far, there have been two cases reported to the CMPD.
