White supremacist fliers placed on cars at CSU

Dozens of white supremacist fliers were discovered on vehicles in parking lots at Colorado State University in Fort Collins between Saturday and Tuesday, police said.

CSU Police Sgt. Chris Wolf said the fliers were distributed in residence hall parking lots, and outside the engineering building and the Moby Arena.

He said there are a few versions of the fliers, one of which shows photos of African-American celebrities, calls them criminals, and criticizes Black History Month. He has not received any reports of witnesses who saw someone placing the flie
rs, which come from a group called White Revolution, based in Arkansas.

The Anti-Defamation League, a national organiza
tion that works against hate, condemned the fliers.

"This neo-Nazi organization spreads its message of white supremacy through hate-filled fliers in an attempt to create environments of fear and intimidation," said Bruce DeBoskey, ADL's regional director.

He said this is the first time he's seen evidence of White Revolution in Colorado.

Wolf said if someone was caught distributing the fliers, the person would face a littering charge, which carries a citation and a fine.

Fliers disparaging Black History Month have been left on parked cars at Colorado State University.

res of black celebrities such as Kobe Bryant, O.J. Simpson and Michael Jackson and declaring them criminals.

CSU police were first notified of the fliers placed on cars in the Engineering Building parking lot north of the Lory Student Center on Saturday. The fliers have also appeared over the past few days on vehicles parked in the Moby Arena lot and residence hall parking lots, said CSU police Sgt. Chris Wolf.

Police believe that the fliers were placed on multiple days.

->While the content of the fliers is racially insensitive, they do not contain any specific threats and the content is covered under the freedom of speech portions of the First Amendment, Wolf said.

Leaving fliers on cars is considered littering.

They basically are wanting to get people riled up, Wolf said. "f you don't pay attention to it, they can't accomplish their goal.

The fliers leave contact information for a Russellville, Ark.-based o
rganization called White Revolution. It lists a Web address and phone number.

A man who identified himself as Billy Roper, chairman of White Revolution answered the phone when called.

Roper said his organization was dedicated to white supremacy and members of his organization were responsible for the fliers.

The organization has only a couple dozen members in Colorado.

Roper said they target co
llege students because they are intellectually open-minded.

Racial-themed fliers turned up on the campus of the University of Colorado-Boulder last fall, but it is not known of the fliers were linked to the same group.

Fliers Mocking Blacks Distributed At CSU
Arkansas Hate Group Claims Responsibility


FORT COLLINS, Colo. -- Racist fliers from an Arkansas-based hate group were distributed on the campus of Colorado State University over the past several days but officials said there is no indication that any students were involved.

Officials said if the people responsible for distributing them could be i
dentified, they would be charged with littering.

A man who identified himself as Billy Roper, chairman of White Revolution, talked to the Fort Collins Coloradoan on Tuesday.

Roper told the newspaper that his organization is dedicated to white supremacy and members of his organization were responsible for the fliers. He said the group targets college students because they are "intellectually open-minded."

Hmmm, now if we could get a flyer up and out on black on white crime or just crime by a black person for each day of this month to celebrate the "the dream". Can you imagine the backlash? :niglet:
