Man charged with animal cruelty for killing kitten
A Shreveport man is behind bars, after authorities say he killed a kitten.
Terrance Coleman, 18, is charged with aggravated cruelty to an animal. Cadd Animal Control officials say Coleman picked up a four-month-old kitten that was following three small children down the street and started squeezing it. Authorites say he threw the cat down and then picked it up again and strangled it until the cat died.
No bond has been set for Coleman, but he could face up to ten days in jail and be fined up to $25,000 dollars.
