BLACK McDonald's Employee Charged with Murder After Allegedly Shooting Woman in Restaurant - WAS THE VICTIM WHITE???? A McDonald’s employee was charged with murder after a woman was shot and killed in the restaurant following a confrontation, police in North Carolina announced. Sam Antwan Ivey, 35, was charged with second-degree murder after being arrested in connection with the Monday morning shooting, the Hendersonville Police Department said. Prior to the shooting, police said two women were arguing at a bus stop outside the McDonald’s when one of them entered the restaurant and was followed by the other. A manager separated the two, police said, and one of the women left the McDonald’s, but returned shortly after. When the woman returned to the restaurant, she reached out and touched Ivey who then shot her with a concealed handgun before fleeing, police alleged. The woman was identified as Jacklyn Marie Reed, 30, of Johnson City, Tenn.

Surveillance video shows McDonald's shooting that left woman dead was over-reaction, chief says

"This was a matter-of-fact shooting," based on surveillance video, the police chief said.

"There is no dispute. We know exactly what happened," says Chief Myhand. "This was a matter-of-fact shooting. Based on what we see in surveillance video, this was a far over-reaction to the situation that was happening."

Myhand says Ivey injected himself when he shouldn't have, pulling out a concealed handgun and shooting Reed between the collar bones. She died on the scene.

Ivey is being held without bond, and charged with second-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a felon. Public records show Ivey has been arrested multiple times in the past.
