BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - A woman is dead, and two others are hurt after a triple shooting in Baton Rouge overnight.
Baton Rouge Police Chief Thomas Morse confirmed it happened in the 4800 block of Underwood Avenue near North Foster Drive before 4 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 28.
Wednesday night, police identified the victim as 29-year-old Destiny Buckley.
The chief said the suspected shooter knew the victims and was already inside the house on Underwood Avenue. An argument unfolded, and the shooting took place before officers got there. Buckley was killed at the scene.

Chief Morse added he does not believe the shooting is related to a deadly double shooting on North 37th Street that happened on Tuesday.

The two other female victims were taken to a hospital with life-threatening and non-life-threatening injuries.

Anyone with information about the shooting is urged to contact the Violent Crimes Unit at (225) 389-4869 or Crime Stoppers at (225) 344-7867.

BRProud.com: One killed, two injured in Wednesday morning shooting in Baton Rouge
BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — One woman is dead, Destiny Buckley, 29, and two other people are injured following an early morning shooting in Baton Rouge.
It happened just after four Wednesday morning at a home on Underwood Avenue near North Foster Drive.
Baton Rouge Police Chief Thomas Morse says it appears to be a domestic situation.
“It looks like it’s contained to this residence. Like I said, that the suspect was known to the people inside the residence was let in and some kind of domestic disturbance argument took place, which led up to the shooting. But it’s kind of early to say right now. Detectives have a couple of people detain witnesses that were also here that were not transporting” said Chief Morse.

Two other female victims were injured and transported to the local hospital with life-threatening and non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Baton Rouge Police Department.
The investigation is ongoing.
