A man wanted by Baton Rouge police for first-degree murder in a triple shooting that killed one woman and injured two other women was arrested Wednesday in Oklahoma City, officials said.
The Oklahoma City Police Department posted on social media that the suspect, Darius Howard, 23, was arrested with the assistance of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and the U.S. Marshal's Office.
Howard is wanted by Baton Rouge police for a triple shooting that happened shortly before 4 a.m. on Feb. 28 in the 4800 block of Underwood Avenue that killed a woman, Destiny Buckley, and injured two other women, a Baton Rouge police spokesperson said.
Howard "will be extradited back to Baton Rouge for first-degree murder and two counts of attempted first-degree murder," Baton Rouge police said in a news release.
