Girl, 14, gang-raped by nine (blacks and arabs)
Nine schoolboy rapists named
NINE schoolboys laughed as they took turns to rape a terrified 14-year-old girl, a court heard this week.
The poor teen was snatched from the street by her attckers -some aged as young as 13 - and dragged into the stairwell of a nearby block of flats in Hackney, east London.
The ringleader, O’Neil “Hitmanâ┚¬ Denton, 16 told her she had to be punished for allegedly “insultingâ┚¬ him.
Stabbed
London’s Snaresbrook Crown Court heard the teenager, head of a gang called the Kingshold Boys, warned if she did not do as she was told she would be stabbed.
Seconds later, after being disturbed by a passer-by, they put her in a headlock, took her to another block and stripped her from the waist down.
“By this time she was very frightened and very distressed and was crying and begging them to allow her to go home,â┚¬ said Nicola Merrick, prosecuting.
“The victim was then raped orally by the boys ... they were all laughing.â┚¬
At that stage another member of the public walked by.
Although the young girl was “too afraidâ┚¬ to call for help, her obvious plight was ignored.
Denton then callously told her she could go and let her get dressed. But no sooner had she run outside than he and Weiled Ibraham, 17, caught up with her and dragged her back.
The barrister told the court by this time two more youths had arrived and together with the others escorted the increasingly distraught youngster to more flats, known locally as the “paedophile blockâ┚¬ .
Other youths were then phoned as Ibraham told her they would all “rape her badlyâ┚¬ . Shortly afterwards her last three attackers arrived.
Miss Merrick said it was clear he and Denton were “controlling eventsâ┚¬ , and, as she was attacked again, “decided which boys orally raped her and in what orderâ┚¬ .
As they did so they shouted encouragement to each other.
“The girl was to later tell police that at this point she broke down... turned to face the wall and wept.â┚¬
Her lengthy ordeal finally came to an end when another member also saw what was happening, but this time intervened.
“They jostled him, shouted at him and told him they were not finished with her.â┚¬
Fortunately, said counsel, it gave her the opportunity to flee.
The court heard, however, the youngster’s ordeal left her so traumatised she attempted suicide.
In a subsequent impact statement she said her “whole world has been turned upside down ...
“I feel like a prisoner, I have to look over my shoulder.â┚¬
In the dock with Denton and Ibrahim, was Yusuf Raymond, 16, who all admitted rape, kidnap and false imprisonment on April 30 last year.
The others before the court - Jayden Ryan, 16; Alexander Vanderpuije, 15, Jack Bartle, 16, Cleon Brown, 15, and two aged 14 and 16 who still cannot be named, were variously convicted by a jury of the same charges.
Earlier, in an application for anonymity orders to be lifted, Miss Merrick said it was “in the public interestâ┚¬ that the defendants should be named.
“Those young people who become members of gangs, should know the outcome of this trial, that they will not mete out punishments as a gang with impunity and not ultimately retain their anonymity.â┚¬
All nine, from east London, will be sentenced on Monday.
