Re: Neighbor finds niglet on roof

2 years old and already climbing houses -- this niglet is well ahead in its development. I'd give it another year or two before the niglet begins to smoke crack and rob convenience stores like his older buck brethren.

2 Children Found Wandering Street

POSTED: 12:58 pm CDT September 1, 2006
UPDATED: 8:47 pm CDT September 1, 2006

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Two young children found wandering the street late Friday morning were temporarily turned over to the Division of Family Services, KMBC's Jim Flink reported.

The boy and the girl, 2-year-old twins, were found near 37th and Walnut streets at about 10:45 a.m.

Authorities said they were called by a neighbor who had seen the children walking around the area for about 45 minutes.

Police said they combed the neighborhood looking for the children's parents but could not find them. The children were taken to Central Patrol Police Station.

Shortly after 1 p.m., a woman who identified hers
elf as an aunt told police she fell asleep while the children's mother was still at home and when she woke up, everyone was gone.

"Unfortunately, kids get out from time to time. Things like this happen," Officer Richard Winston said.

The children's mother and father also showed up at the station.

"I was at work, but I had got off early because I was trying to move, when I got a call from the children's mother, and as soon as I found out I rushed out," said Tyrone Hudson, the children's father.

The children were turned over to foster care until a court hearing next week.

Hudson was upset he couldn't take his children home.

"I just need to see them. I want to see them and look them in the eye. I can't believe it's us, you know?" Hudson said.

The twins' mother refused to comment.

Another touching missing niglet story.

Kid Trapped in Car During Repossession

September 15, 2006 - A repo man got more than he bargained for when he
repossessed a car in Delaware this morning. There was a five-year-old child in the back seat.

It happened Friday morning, on Pennywell Drive in Edgemore when a local mom ran back into her house for just minutes to use the telephone, and when she came back outside her car was gone... and so was her five-year-old son.

He's safe with loved ones now, but early this morning Xavier Collins sat stunned and silent in the back seat of his mom's Saturn station wagon while it was being repossessed.

Rosalie Hargroves frantically called police at the time,
fearing her son had been kidnapped.

The repo man was rushed to the hospital after suffering from chest pains at New Castle County police headquarters. He's identified as Ron Roberts, co-owner of a Newport Dealership. Indications are he drove the repossessed car, with Xavier in it, to a repair shop ten minutes away from the boys' home.

The sister of the car dealer calls what happened today a big misunderstanding, but Xavier's relatives call it a crime. Xavier's family hopes kidnapping charges are filed against the dealer, but investigators here have yet to file any charges because Roberts took ill.

Passersby Find 2-Year-Old Wandering Alone

Nov 13, 2006 05:09 PM CST

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Passersby found a 2-year-old boy wandering alone Monday morning at East 9th Street and Chestnut Avenue.

He was only wearing his pajamas, no shoes or a jacket, so neighbors kept him warm in the back of a car while they waited for help to arrive.

The little boy couldn't tell them his name or where he lived, but about 45 minutes after police showed up, his mother came to the scene to report her son missing.

Police reunited the pair and told KCTV5 News that it appeared he was outside alone because of a misunderstanding.

The 2-year-old's grandparents were baby-sitting him. When his grandmother woke up and he was gone, she assumed his grand
father - who'd left the house - had the little boy with him.

When the grandfather returned home alone, they started searching for the boy.

Police did notify social workers so they could make sure everything was okay.
